One of the best parts of being a DJ is that no two gigs are ever the same. Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of performing at a huge variety of events — from packed teen discos and milestone birthday parties to weddings, corporate events, and everything in between.
But what makes a great DJ isn’t just having a solid playlist. It’s knowing how to read the room and adapt in real time to different age groups, energy levels, and vibes. Here's how I do it.
Teen events are all about keeping the energy sky-high from start to finish. I stay on top of current chart trends, viral TikTok tracks, and remixes that younger crowds know and love. It’s fast-paced, bass-driven, and hype-heavy — and I mix it in a way that keeps the dance floor lit without a second of downtime.
Plus, I know how to keep things fun and inclusive — no awkward gaps or slow buildups. Just banger after banger, with safe, clean edits and smooth mic work to keep the crowd buzzing.
These events are flying at the moment — and for good reason. People want the club experience, but they also want to be home by 11. For this crowd, I lean into the best of the 90’s and 00’s, with a mix of R&B, pop, rock, dance, and floor-fillers that hit that sweet spot of nostalgia.
I keep the mix fun and familiar, avoiding anything too niche or too current — and the lighting and setup are tailored to match the vibe. Think throwback anthems, sing-along choruses, and just the right amount of mic work to hype the crowd without overdoing it.
Weddings require a different kind of focus — it’s not just about playing songs, it’s about managing moments. From the first dance to the late-night party, I work closely with each couple in advance to understand their style, their “must-plays” and their no-gos.
On the day, I balance generations, shifting from Motown or ABBA for the early crowd into club classics and 00’s bangers for the late-night crew. It’s about flow, timing, and reading the energy — and making sure the newlyweds never leave the dance floor!
For corporate nights, family functions, bar gigs, or milestone birthdays, flexibility is key. Whether the vibe is laid-back or full throttle, I build the set around your crowd — with a clean, professional setup, high-quality sound, and the experience to know when to push the tempo or pull it back.
I can go classy and low-key, or full-blown party mode — whatever the event calls for.
Whether it’s 300 teenagers screaming for Olivia Rodrigo, or 100 wedding guests belting out Bon Jovi, I adapt to the room — not the other way around. With years of experience, pro-level gear, and a deep love for music across all genres, I’ll make sure your event sounds exactly how you want it to feel.
